Blog 1 Questions:
A) Who is in your group and why did you guys decide to be a group together?
Cameron Nelson, Esteban Garcia, and Peyton Long are the members of this group. We are all on the football team and in the same class so we tought it would be best to work together since we will have the same time before, after, and during school to work on the project. It also allow us to maintain our ideas so that everyone is on the same page.
B) What is your initial plan to fulfill the objective of launching a
ball a given distance?
Our initial plan is to use a spring and a ramp in which we can change the angle in order to strike the various distances. The spring will be condensed in order for it to hold enough EPE to launch the golf ball.
C) What challenges do you anticipate facing?
I anticipate that we incurr a problem when it comes to the curcuit because we need to find a way in which the marble/ball hits a certain point to close the curcuit in order for the light/sound to come on. I also think a problem will arise in finding out the elasticity of the spring because it will be needed in order to solve for launching of the golf ball.
